I love my folders

So while we continue to explore the new and improved 4.0 software I thought it appropriate to post about the new folder feature. I do love it, really but it does beg the question why give us a feature that only then becomes partially useful? I mean of course that I cannot add more than 12 icons to a folder. Again, while this feature is a dramatic improvement over the previous paradigm I wonder why limit me to 12? I enjoy the simplicity of making the folders though quite a bit. Unified inbox, and grouped conversation: the new email

The preview release review continues with email. The new features really do make the experience a lot more like a regular computer interface. The ability to view all of our mailboxes in a unified window is nice to be sure. I personally view 6 email accounts on my devices so this is a real treat to get a snapshot of all of the mailboxes in one place. New iPad

Well hello there iPad. Funny enough, the process was not at all what it was imagined to be. Our arrival at the store at 9:30 was already a half hour past the opening so I was for sure anticipating a line around the corner. EPUB and our new problem

So Apple loves EPUB, we are not so sure. Apple loves EPUB evidently as they chose it for their book reading software. It is quite “global” insofar as it is understood by many devices and by many publishers which makes this quite the format moving forward. However, it does not address the simple fact that as developers for these devices we should be able to make the next generation of books and not just wonky re-creations of books on the iPad.
