Flash mades it way on the iPhone/Pad

We have been making websites here for quite some time. We have been using Flash here for almost as long. At one point in our time line I can actually remember making whole websites entirely out of Flash and wondering why the world was not doing the same. Then we all grew up and realized that this was a bad idea. The world however did largely pick Flash up for a ton of things which we all still enjoy today. That being said the world has progressed yet again and Flash is no longer a requirement to do some

Time to be a little less serious

Ok so for all the mud being flung from one side to the other and back between pro-iPhone folks, the “Android will rule the world” folks, the iPad is a bigger iPod touch folks, etc. it is nice to see that there is at least one person who can have fun with it. I for one am happy to see this. Enjoy!

Google and Verizon teaming up

One thing everyone will have to thank Apple for is getting the ball rolling; over and over and over again. This time we are talking specifically about the iPad. Six months ago everyone knew tablets existed, thought about them a bit, but scoffed largely at the commercial viability of them. In other words no one was taking the plunge, at least not in the massively public spectacle way that Apple has done of late. So no what? Easy, everyone needs to make a tablet, and now. We now get to read all about “iPad killers” for the foreseeable future.

Android on the move

The debate rages on iPhone vs Droid vs Blackberry; this time with a few interesting numbers to back them up. According to NetworkWorld’s recent article Android is on the rise while the iPhone seems to have leveled off, and, not surprisingly, Blackberry continues to be the business leader. That being said however, Android takes the crown for growth this quarter by far. The article continues by stating that the biggest casualty of this success was by far Microsoft. This is congruent with a recent trip to a client I took where we took a quick look at their Google

iPad and Education

The iPad is new. The iPad is fun. The iPad is confused; at least for now. To clarify, the machine itself is not confused, that would be insane. The people using it are confused. Steve and his pack of geniuses over at Apple have traditionally been whizzes at defining a need and filling it with some super sexy gadget that we all eventually have 5 of in the in closet in a few years. With the iPad though it has been a little different. This time they gave us the super sexy gadget and said “here are a few

iAd: hmm…

One thing I have enjoyed quite a bit thus far on my iPhone is the overall lack of advertising. Sure, a few apps have it but, for the most part, it is missing from the mix; until now. As with many issues that face us on the device, this one too splits me down the middle. In this corner we have the fact that this device is an integral part of our business. We make these apps for clients who, in turn, require a profit in order to continue on. While some companies have made quite a splash selling

New iPad

Well hello there iPad. Funny enough, the process was not at all what it was imagined to be. Our arrival at the store at 9:30 was already a half hour past the opening so I was for sure anticipating a line around the corner. To my surprise the line was expeditiously moving along and we were hurried in and as though they knew I was coming (ok, they knew) I had mine in hand in moments. I even scored a free cup of coffee thanks to the Apple staff. As with every Apple product I have ever purchased I
